TEE SHOTS
- The Phoenix's seven-woman roster includes four returnees and three newcomers. Fellow returnees Garland Gould and Kelly Zhao will play as individuals.
- Elon shared the 2025 Elon Invitational title with James Madison at 4-over-par 856. Three Phoenix finished among the top 10 individually, including Hansen, who tied for fourth at 1-under 212 and earned CAA Golfer of the Week honors following the tournament. Downer tied for ninth at 2-over 215 in her collegiate debut.
- Downer, Elon's No. 1 in the lineup, played in nine of 11 tournaments as a freshman last season and averaged 76.91 strokes per round. She tied for 20th individually at the CAA Championship last spring.
- Giordani and Chouvin will make their collegiate debuts at the Elon Women's Invitational after signing with the Phoenix last year.
- Paramore was a second-team All-SAC selection at Wingate in 2026, where she was part of the Bulldogs' lineup for the SAC Championship, NCAA South Regional Championship and stroke-play competition at the NCAA Division II Championship.
- Elon enters the 2026-27 season under new leadership after naming longtime Alabama assistant Susan Rosenstiel its head coach and Hall of Famer Mic Potter an assistant coach in June. Potter, who won more than 70 tournaments during 43 seasons as a Division I head coach, will serve as interim head coach through Feb. 28 before Rosenstiel officially begins her tenure March 1 following 23 seasons at Alabama that included the 2012 NCAA Championship, three SEC titles and 15 NCAA Championship appearances.
- Elon's roster has an international flair, featuring hometowns in France (Chouvin), Canada (Downer, Hansen, Zhao) and Argentina (Giordani).
- Elon has three more fall tournaments on its schedule, including the Tot Hill Farm Invitational (Sept. 28-29), Terrier Intercollegiate (Oct. 12-13) and Edisto Island Invitational (Oct. 19-20).
