CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Cornelia Kack and Iga Piotrowska won the Navy Doubles Draw to highlight Saturday play for the Elon women's tennis team at the Kitty Harrison Invitational.

Kack and Piotrowska outlasted Charlotte's duo of Karina Mohamed and Amalia Widdowson 7-3 in a tiebreak in the Navy final to win the flight. The Phoenix duo defeated pairings from James Madison and Virginia yesterday to reach the final. Virginia's pair was the top seed in the Navy draw.

In the White Draw, Lisa Kranec and Alexandria Warsing won a third-place match, defeating Emma Montebello and Elizabeth Ivanov of Charlotte, 6-2. Sonja Rooth and Lisa Dierick added a consolation doubles victory with a 6-3 result against James Madison's Ariel Avidan and Niki Tomeljak in the Navy Draw.

The Phoenix added four consolation singles victories, with Mariana Reding and Lisa Dierick both winning match tiebreaks against Kansas State opponents. Simone Bergeron and Lisa Kranec also posted victories against James Madison foes.

Play at the Kitty Harrison Invitational concludes tomorrow with the final round of singles beginning at 9 a.m.
