ELON – Three members of the Elon women's tennis team will represent the CAA at ITA Conference Masters next week.
Cornelia Kack will play singles while
Simone Bergeron and
Mariana Reding will team up in doubles.
The ITA Conference Masters will be held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia, from Nov. 5-8 and will feature representatives from each Division I tennis conference. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Individual Championships, which will be contested from Nov. 17-22. The four singles semifinalists and final two doubles teams from Conference Masters will qualify for NCAAs.

Each conference gets one representative in the tournament in both singles and doubles. This is the second straight year Elon will have representatives for the CAA as Bergeron played singles in the event last season.
Kack is the reigning CAA Player of the Year and qualified for the ITA All-American Championships and main draw at ITA Carolina Regionals earlier this fall. The junior is 4-5 in singles this fall but has won four of her last five outings, including a 3-0 mark at the Jimmy Powell Invitational on her way to winning the singles title.
Bergeron and Reding also represented Elon earlier this fall at ITA All-Americans, upsetting a pair of Power Four opponents to reach the qualifying draw. The duo has earned All-CAA First Team recognition each of the last two seasons and is 5-6 as a pairing this fall. They were one of three Phoenix tandems to reach the round of 16 earlier this month at ITA Carolina Regionals.
