CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Elon women's tennis team closed the Kitty Harrison Invitational with three singles victories Sunday at the Chewning Tennis Center.

Lisa Dierick, Lisa Kranec and Sonja Rooth all won consolation matches in straight sets. Kranec took down Lena Beuing of Kansas State, 6-0, 6-3, for Elon's fourth singles victory of the weekend against a Power Four opponent. Dierick defeated James Madison's Niki Tomeljak 7-6(5), 6-1, while Rooth defeated Amelie Drukerova of Charlotte, 6-1, 7-5.

For the weekend, the Phoenix won 16 matches, with eight victories in both doubles and singles. Seven of those wins came against Power Four opposition.

Elon continues its fall season next week at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C.
