ASHEBORO – The Elon women's golf team finished 10th at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational on Tuesday, closing the tournament with a third-round 320 at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club. The Phoenix finished at 56-over-par 920 (300-300-320). Elon completed its first two rounds Monday, posting matching 12-over 300s before darkness suspended second-round play for teams still on the course.
ROUND 3 HIGHLIGHTS
- Lilli Downer paced the Phoenix with a 5-over 77 on Tuesday to finish tied for 21st at 7-over 223. Starting on No. 8, Downer opened with a birdie on the par-5 hole and added another on the par-3 13th. She closed her round with seven consecutive pars on Nos. 1-7.
- Kelly Zhao finished tied for 38th at 14-over 230 after shooting a final-round 78. Beginning on No. 10, Zhao made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 11 and 12 to move to 2-under through her first three holes. She played her opening nine in 1-over 36.
- Haley Paramore recorded a team-high three birdies Tuesday, including two over her final four holes, en route to a 7-over 79. Starting on No. 9, Paramore birdied Nos. 2 and 5 before finishing with a birdie on the par-5 eighth. She tied for 53rd at 20-over 236.
- Garland Gould supplied Elon's fourth counting score with an 86 and finished tied for 57th at 22-over 238. Gould, who began her round on No. 10, recorded a birdie on the par-4 17th.
- Emma Hansen rounded out the Phoenix lineup in a tie for 61st at 23-over 239 after a final-round 87.
