Coach’s Take: Daniel is a strong left-sided player. His junior year was hampered with injuries and we hope he is strong and fit for 2009 to fulfil the potential he has.
2008: Despite some nagging injuries, appeared in 12 games, making five starts… assisted on three goals including one in Elon’s shutout win over Wofford in the SoCon Tournament. 2007: Made appearances in all 19 contests, making 14 starts… scored twice, including the game-winner in a 4-0 victory over SoCon foe Appalachian State… second goal was the lone Phoenix tally in a 1-1 tie with North Carolina… passed for three assists. 2006: Netted first career goal in Elon’s 3-0 win over SoCon foe Wofford… appeared in 14 contests, making one start.
Prep: Member of the North Carolina ‘88 ODP team, helping the squad advance to the national tournament in both 2004 and 2006 (Co-National Champions)… has also been a member of the ‘88 Region III ODP team… his ‘87 Charlotte Soccer Club team captured a state title in 2003 and 2006… was both an all-region and all-state selection at South Mecklenburg.
Personal: Born May 19, 1988… son of Mark and Gail Street… majoring in business administration.
