Summary
Know for is energy and enthusiasm, Hershberger was one of the hardest-working student-athletes to wear an Elon uniform. He made 22 appearances in his career, earning a start on Senior Night against William & Mary on Feb. 25, 2016. He was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and showed success in the classroom, earning spots on the President’s List, the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, and the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.

2015-16 (Senior): A team captain as a senior • Played in nine games and made one start • Finished the season with 10 points, one rebound and one assist • Played a season-high four minutes against Wesley College on Dec. 13 and vs. Delaware on Feb. 4 • Made his first-career start on Senior Night against William & Mary on Feb. 25 • Tied a career-high, scoring six points against Delaware on Feb. 4, going 6-of-6 from the free throw line • Made two field goals on the year, one against Belmont Abbey (Nov. 18) and the other at Delaware (Feb. 27).

2014-15 (Junior): Played in five games as a junior • Scored six points in five minutes against Virginia University of Lynchburg on Dec. 2 at home • Played six minutes against Central Penn on Dec. 11 • Saw action in both games against UNCW and at William & Mary on Feb. 11.

2013-14 (Sophomore): Played in three games on the year • Played three minutes against Central Penn on Dec. 19, grabbing one board and dishing out one assist • Played four minutes against Washington & Lee on Nov. 8.

2012-13 (Freshman): Played in five games as a freshman walk-on • Hit a free throw on Nov. 13 against Bridgewater for his only point of the season • Had an assist against Bridgewater on Nov. 13 • Grabbed an offensive rebound against Manchester on Dec. 31.

High School: Three-year letterman and two-year team captain at Butler • Two-time All-GWOC selection • Honorable Mention All-District selection as a senior • Averaged 10 points, six assists and two steals per game as a senior • Second all-time in career assists at Butler • Led the GWOC in assist//turnover ratio (3.5) as a senior • Member of National Honor Society.

Fun Facts: Played AAU basketball with Elon teammate Tony Sabato '16 for the Cincinnati Royals.

Personal: Born October 29, 1993... Son of Paul and Jan... Father, Paul, played collegiate football at Capital University.
