Prep: Selected as the 2016 Georgia 6A Region Pitcher of the Year … Was a 2016 first-team all-state selection as a pitcher and a 2015 second-team all-state pick as a hitter … As a senior for coach Dallas McPherson, posted an 8-2 record and struck out 135 hitters, the most in Georgia, in 72 innings … Two-time team MVP … Hit .326 with three home runs and a .443 on-base percentage as a senior … Helped his prep squad to 2014 and 2015 Georgia 6A state titles and a 2016 Georgia 6A regional crown … Was an all-state selection … Rated as the 16th-best prospect in the state of Georgia by MaxPreps.
