Personal: Tyler James Cranston is the son of Kenneth and Rosemary Cranston…Born on October 29, 1999...His father pitched at Iona College in New York as well for the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod League. His dad also started in the first ever MAAC Championship game at Shea Stadium...His brother John pitched at JUCO powerhouse Mesa Community College before transferring to Towson.

2020: Made 10 starts and played in all 17 games. He owned a .194 (7-for-36) batting average with six runs, one home run, one double, five RBIs, two walks, and two stolen bases in as many attempts. Cranston also had a .952 fielding percentage with 20 putouts...Had a career day in the series opener against UMass Lowell as he batted 4-for-5, scored four runs, drove in three runs, and swiped a bag. He also doubled and hit his first career long ball, a solo home run in the eighth.

2019: Finished his freshman campaign with a .195 (23-118) average in 50 appearances and 31 starts. He owned a .246 slugging percentage and a .269 on-base percentage. Added 15 runs, four doubles, a triple, five RBIs, eight walks, and eight steals to his season totals...Turned in seven multi-hit outings with one multi-RBI game, a three-game hit streak, and a four-game reached base streak...Had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 81 putouts in as many chances...Had a pair of 2-for-4 games in the season-opening sweep of Lafayette. In Game Two versus the Leopards, he tripled, scored once, and drove in a run...Went 2-for-5 with a double, a run, and a steal at High Point...Hit 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a season-high two RBIs at East Carolina...Went 1-for-2, scored twice, and drove in a run in the series opener at Hofstra. The next day, he hit 3-for-5 in the first game of a doubleheader against the Pride and followed with a 2-for-4 outing in Game Two. His 6-for-11 (.545) weekend earned him CAA Co-Rookie of the Week honors and helped secure Elon's first CAA regular season title.

Prep: Was a two-time All-State selection and three-time All-District honoree under Coach Brian Fischer at Notre Dame Preparatory...Was a three-year varsity starter, totaling 131 hits...Named Notre Dame Prep's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year...Led his school to three-straight playoff appearances and to the state Final Four as a senior...Led Arizona Large schools in hits (53) and batting average (.500) as a senior...5A State All Star Game MVP...State leader in steals as a junior.
