Personal: Full name is Spencer Thomas Bauer....Born on Sept. 18, 2000....Son of Tom and Jackie Bauer…Mother swam at Florida State...Majoring in Sport Management.

2022: Logged a 4.05 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP in 6 2/3 innings over five appearances (one start)...Pitched a scoreless inning of relief in his season debut on April 1 at James Madison...Went a season-high two innings in his lone start on April 8 at Northeastern...Struck out five in 3 2/3 scoreless innings over his last three appearances.

2021: Was 2-2 with a 5.68 ERA through nine appearances and eight starts...Allowed 22 runs (20 earned) on 36 hits and 13 walks while striking out 31 in 31.2 innings pitched...Earned his first win of the season at home against No. 8 East Carolina on March 27. He limited the Pirates to one run on four hits and one walk to improve to 1-1 on the season. He struck out a season-high eight batters in the 5.0-inning start...In a no-decision at UNCW on April 3, he held the Seahawks to two runs on six hits and one walk, adding seven strikeouts in a 7.0-inning start...Got the win in an April 10 win over William & Mary. He allowed six runs on as many hits with five walks and five punch outs in a 5.1-inning start.

2020: Started off the season as the Saturday starter in Elon's weekend rotation. He went 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA across three starts. He totaled 17 strikeouts in 13.2 innings and allowed seven runs on nine hits and 11 walks. Opposing batters hit .200 against him...Made his collegiate debut in Game Two against Delaware State, picking up a no decision as he held the guests to one run on three hits and five walks. He struck out a season-high eight batters in 4.2 innings of work...Picked up his first career victory with a six-inning start vs. UMass Lowell. Bauer surrendered one run on two hits and three walks while collecting six strikeouts.

Prep: Previously played at Christian Brothers Academy before transferring to Manasquan High School...While at CBA, helped coach Brennan Gordon's program win a conference title...Two-time Preseason Underclass All-American...Pitched a no-hitter...Second Team All-Shore...Played club ball for Sportika Gallagher, where he was named the Diamond Nation Tournament MVP and was a five-time Perfect Game All-Tournament Team honoree.
