Coach’s Take: Orry had a solid first year at Elon. He improved during the spring and from his experience with his PDL team, the Cary Clarets. He should continue to make an impact for the team.
2008: One of six Phoenix players to start all 20 matches during Elon’s conference championship season… helped an Elon defense that tallied seven shutouts. 2007 (NC State): Started all 18 matches for North Carolina State… was fourth on the team with seven points… tied for second among Wolfpack players with three goals scored… netted one game-winner… assisted on one goal. 2006 (NC State): Saw action in 17 games as a freshman… made 10 starts… recorded an assist in an ACC Tournament game against Virginia Tech.
Prep: Four-year starter at Garner High… earned all-conference honors as both a junior and senior… netted 83 career goals… named academic all-conference twice… team captain… helped lead ‘87 CASL Elite team to state titles in 2004 and 2005 as well as the 2004 Regionals… CASL squad earned runner-up distinction at the Torneo di Calcio Tournament in Italy in 2004… ranked among the Super Y top-10 scorers and Super Y Region III top-five scorers in 2004.
