Academic Advising
Every student is assigned an academic advisor. For the first semester and until it is time to declare a major, Elon 101 teachers serve as their students' advisors. After consulting with this advisor about scheduling for the following semester, students should then meet with the Director of Academic Progress in order to confirm that class times do not conflict with practice and travel times. In order to support student-athletes, the Assistant Director of Athletics/Director of Academic Progress/Life Skills Development also provides assistance on academic and life-skills matters. With her, student-athletes may address the following:
* General success advising
* Academic advising related to schedule adjustment, registration, and graduation requirements
* Referrals to university resources
* Major and career development choices
* Eligibility requirements
* Time management, study skills, and other academic and learning skills
* University procedures related to academic progress
