The sports medicine operation at Elon University is charged with providing quality health care for each of the 17 intercollegiate teams
within the Department of Athletics. The sports medicine team strives to establish relationships with each of the over 400 student-athletes
to facilitate quality care delivered with a sense of urgency to ensure a timely and safe return to activity.

Duke Sports Medicine and their world-class Sports Science Institute provide Elon University student-athletes with the clinical and wellness care needed to ensure the Phoenix athletes stay healthy. Team physicians Dr. Anthony Ceraulo and Dr. Lee Diehl are on site daily in Elon’s three training rooms to provide primary and orthopedic care.

Elon student athletes have access to a wide range of medical facilities and services.

The athletic training facilities at Elon University are staffed by board certified professionals experienced in the delivery of athletic medicine. The sports medicine operation has eight (8) certified and licensed athletic trainers. Together this team provides comprehensive care in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries or illnesses sustained by our student-athletes as well as rehabilitation and reconditioning of any illness or injury.
