Biography

2010-11: Was second on the team and ranked 12th in the conference with 13.6 ppg • Averaged 15.2 ppg and 4.3 rpg in SoCon games  • Scored in double figures on 22 occasions, dropping 20 or more points seven times • Posted a streak of 12 consecutive games in which he netted 10+ points • Led the team in scoring 12 times on the year and in rebounding in eight games • Shot 50 percent or better from the field in 12 outings • Scored a season-high 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting in a 77-70 victory over Davidson (1/20) • Went for 26 points, including a career-best 11 made free throws, in a league win over Samford (1/8) • Set a personal-best with 10 rebounds against both South Carolina (11/12) and Chattanooga (12/17) • Ended the year ranked sixth in program history with 144 career three-pointers made.

2009-10: Led squad with 13.3 ppg and ranked second with 4.6 rpg • Racked up seven 20+ scoring performances, including a career-high night of 30 points on 8-of-13 from beyond the arc in a win over Chattanooga (1/23) • Team’s leading scorer in 11 contests, netting double figures in 20 games • Opened the season with 23 points on 6-of-9 three-pointers to help Elon to victory against Lipscomb (11/14) • Dumped in 14 points, pulled down six boards and added three assists in the Phoenix’s first SoCon win of the season at UTC (12/5) • Posted his first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in front of his hometown fans at Ohio University (12/29) • Was on fire during the month of January, hitting 45-of-89 (50.5) from the field and averaging 17.6 ppg • Netted 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting to help Elon to a win over Gardner-Webb in the ESPNU Bracket Busters • Dropped 25 points and added eight boards in first meeting of year against Davidson (2/27) • Drained 62 triples, second-most on the team • Pulled down six or more rebounds in 11 games from his guard position.

2008-09: Earned one start while seeing action in 28 games as a true freshman • Scored in double figures in two of first three collegiate games • Connected on 4-of-7 from three-point range against Southern Virginia (11/18) and UT-Martin (11/22) • Pulled down a season-best seven rebounds at UT-Martin (11/22) • Hit 4-of-5 field goals and 7-of-8 from the free throw stripe to lead the team with 17 points in a win over Georgia Southern (2/26).

Prep Career: A McDonald’s All-American nominee as a senior • Named first-team All-Ohio, AP District III Player of the Year and coaches’ District Player of the Year in 2007-08 • Also honored as All-Ohio Academic first team • An Ohio/Kentucky All-Star, All-Ohio North-South All-Star and conference player of the year as a senior • Averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game as a senior • Helped Wheelersburg to two state final four appearances, including an overtime loss to eventual state title winner North College Hill as a junior • Averaged 16.5 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting nearly 41 percent from three-point range and 74 percent from the line as a junior • Helped his squad to the 2006-07 Southern Ohio Conference crown • named both all-league and all-district as a junior • Honored as an AP first-team All-Southeastern Ohio and second team All-Ohio pick that same year • Averaged 15.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 26 games as a sophomore •Put up 9.2 points per game and pulled in 3.8 rebounds per contest as a freshman • Wheelersburg went 84-13 in his four-year career • Also a three-year starter for the Wheelersburg football squad • Earned all-district and all-state honors while being named offensive player of the year as a senior • Holds the school’s single-season record for passing yards.
