Appeared in 20 games, making eight starts • Finished the season with totals of 184 points, 59 rebounds and 29 assists in 503 total minutes • Ended the year ranked fourth on the team in scoring at 9.2 points per game, adding 3.0 rpg • Logged 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in his Elon debut against Florida • Erupted for a career-high 34 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor against High Point, also posting career-bests in threes made (5) and free throws (11) • Dropped 20 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists against Delaware on Jan. 22 • Scored at least 10 points in seven of his 20 appearances • Led the team in free-throw percentage, knocking down 52 of his 61 attempts (85.2 percent) • Made at least three triples in five games this season
JUNIOR (2020-21) - Mizzou
Appeared in 21 games throughout the season playing an average of 7.5 minutes per game • Finished the season with 40 points, 13 rebounds and five steals in 158 minutes of action • Played his best game of the season against Arkansas, dropping season-highs in points (9), rebounds (2), steals (3), blocks (1), threes (3) and minutes (25) • Matched his season-high of nine points against Oral Roberts and LSU respectively
SOPHOMORE (2019-20) - Mizzou
• Made an appearance in all 31 games of the 2019-2020 season, playing an average of 16.9 minutes per game. • Finished the season with 143 points, 41 rebounds and eight steals in 523 minutes. • Had the third-highest free throw shooting percentage of any Tiger in 2019-20, making 87.5 percent of his attempts. • His 34 triples were the second-most on the team and he's drained 87 threes through 63 career games. • Drilled at least one triple in 19 games and scored in 20 outings. • Reached double figures four times and logged 10+ minutes 26 times. • Erupted for a career-high 24 points vs. Chicago State (Dec. 30) behind a Mizzou Arena single-game record eight 3-pointers. The eight triples were the most threes made by a Tiger in a single game since Thomas Gardner vs. Davidson in 2005. • Posted eight points, two boards and a career-high three steals in 12 minutes off the bench at Ole Miss (March 4). • Chipped in seven points on two 3s at Arkansas (Feb. 22). • Poured in a game-high 19 points, making five 3-pointers at No. 14 West Virginia. • Scored 11 points (career-best 5-for-5 FTs) vs. Texas A&M (Jan. 21). • Scored six points on 2-of-3 shooting vs. Florida (Jan. 11). • Nailed three triples and wound up with a then-season high 11 points and three rebounds vs. Oklahoma (Nov. 26). • Drained two treys, scoring six points vs. Wofford (Nov. 18). • Hit a pair of threes for the 12th time in his career and finished with six points in the season opener vs. Incarnate Word (Nov. 6).
FRESHMAN (2018-19) - Mizzou
• Played in all 32 games as a freshman, making four starts and logging 22.8 minutes per game largely off the bench. • Averaged 7.1 points per game and finished with 226 total points, 49 rebounds, 17 assists and 73 made field goals. • Set a new Mizzou freshman record for single-season made 3-pointers with 53 triples, passing Mizzou legend Kareem Rush (46 in 1999-00). • Made 24 of those 53 3-pointers over the final seven games of the season and averaged 13.7 points per game during that torrid stretch. • Increased his scoring average to 7.9 points per game in league play, making 1.8 treys per game against SEC opponents. • Reached double figures 10 times as a freshman and scored at least 20 points twice, vs. South Carolina and vs. eventual Final Four participant Auburn. • Hit at least one triple in 25 of Mizzou’s 32 games and made multiple treys 13 times. • Played double-digit minutes in 30 of 32 contests. • Shot 36.1-percent from deep during his freshman campaign and 36.5 percent from the field overall. • Chipped in eight points at Iowa State off the bench (Nov. 9). • Scored 12 points each in back-to-back wins over UT-Arlington (Dec. 4) and Oral Roberts (Dec. 7), shooting 7-of-13 from beyond the arc. • Scored seven points and snagged a career-high six rebounds at South Carolina (Jan. 13). • Posted 10 and four rebounds in 29 minutes at Auburn (Jan. 30). • Scored 12 points and dished out two assists in Mizzou’s Rally For Rhyan victory over Vanderbilt (Feb. 2). • Started and tossed in 12 points, making five field goals vs. Texas A&M (Feb. 9). • Hit three triples and notched 12 points at Mississippi State (Feb. 26). • Followed with a career-high 20 points on a career-best seven field goals, including four 3-pointers in a win over South Carolina (March 2). • Four days later, piled in 17 points in a blowout victory at Georgia (March 6). • Scored 14 points and hit three triples in the home finale vs. Ole Miss (March 9). • Buried a career-high six 3-pointers in 33 highlight reel minutes against Auburn at the SEC Tournament (March 14).
HIGH SCHOOL
• Posted an area-best 31.2 points per game and averaged 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest as a senior. • Broke the 50-point barrier on three different occasions during the 2017-18 season. • Set the all-time record for career points (2,755), points in a season (893) and average points per game at Whitfield High School under Mike Potsou, a 1999 Mizzou graduate. • Named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year after leading the Warriors to a 21-8 season and a trip to the Class 3 state quarterfinals. • Scored 51 points in the Warriors' playoff loss after dropping 44 points and 33 points in the prior two games, respectively. • Named the Class 3 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year. • Four-time Missouri Basketball Coaches Association All-State selection. • Rated as the third-best class of 2018 player in the state of Missouri by ESPN and the 12th best shooting guard in the country. • Rated a four-star shooting guard by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and 247sports.com • Averaged 28.0 points per game as a junior in 2016-17. • Led Whitfield to a Missouri Class 3 runner-up finish during his junior season.
PERSONAL
• Son of Terrence and Kimberly Watson and was born on Nov. 18, 1999 in St. Louis. • Maintained a 3.06 GPA at Whitfield High. • With a notable positive presence, was known as “Smiley” during his childhood. • Volunteered time and was involved at Peoples Community Christian Church in St. Louis throughout his childhood. • Served as an instructor at the Whitfield Summer Basketball Camp in addition to volunteering time with the No One Hungry Thanksgiving program. • Played AAU with Jets Ramey United. • Career plan is to be an entrepreneur.
