Coach’s Take: Erfan has turned into an excellent player during his time at Elon. If he can play consistently well this fall, he should help to improve the team yet again.
2008: Named first-team All-Southern Conference… picked up third-team NSCAA All-South honors… finished third on the team with five goals, four assists and 14 points… netted a team-high four game-winning goals, all against league opponents… tallied three points with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory at conference foe UNC Greensboro. 2007: Started 11 contests and made appearances in a total of 18 matches… collected SoCon All-Tournament honors… scored three total goals, including both Phoenix tallies in a 2-0 victory over Appalachian State in the SoCon Tournament… recorded two assists. 2006: Recorded two assists as a true freshman… assisted on the game-winner in his first collegiate contest, a 4-3 victory over Stetson… saw time in 13 matches, making seven starts.
Prep: An all-conference, all-region and all-area selection during his time at nearby Williams High… was the second-leading scorer in the county as a junior… a member of the TFC Navy U-17 Club team.
Personal: Born Sept. 22, 1988… son of Sammy and Shahzad Imeni… majoring in business administration.
