Men's Tennis Wins Fourth in a Row, Blank Flames 7-0

LYNCHBURG, VA -- The Elon College men's tennis team won their fourth match in a row with a 7-0 victory at Liberty University Saturday afternoon. The Fightin' Christians improve to 8-4, while the Flames fall to 2-9 on the season.

Elon won all three doubles matches and made a clean sweep of the singles competition including a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles by Peter Van Graafeiland. At No. 2 singles, freshman Chai Navawongse had to hold off a late rally by LU's Bruno Coelho to win 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

The Fightin' Christians return to action, Wednesday, April 7 when they host the University of Richmond for a 2:30 p.m. match at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
