CHARLOTTE, NC--Elon University guard Rasmi Gamble was named Big South Freshman of the Week tuesday morning.

In his second collegiate career start, the 6-9, 220-pound Gamble scored 12 points and hauled in a career-high nine rebounds in Elon's 58-57 victory over UNC Greensboro Sunday afternoon in the Greensboro Coliseum.

Gamble finished 4-for-8 from the floor and 4-for-6 from the charity stripe while helping the Phoenix dominate the boards 49-27, including 19-5 on the offensive side.
