CHARLOTTE, NC -- Elon junior pitcher Tyson Blocker (Roswell, GA) was honored by the Big South Conference as the Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon. Blocker pitched a complete game in Elon's victory over 10th-ranked Wake Forest. He allowed one earned run and seven hits in the win. He followed that performance with a one-inning relief performance against Duke to earn a save. Blocker allowed only one hit against the Blue Devils. For the week he posted a 0.90 ERA and did not issue a single walk.

The Phoenix will take on N.C. A&T tomorrow afternoon in Greensboro at 3:00 p.m.
