Willis, a sophomore forward, finished the 2006 season with a team-best eight goals and 20 points. He also passed for four assists on the year. Earlier this year, Willis was chosen as a First Team All-Southern Conference pick and his 70 shots led the league.

This year, Elon finished the season with a 10-8-2 overall record, the first winning record for the program since moving to NCAA Division I play. Willis helped the Phoenix also achieve its first-ever NCAA Division I national ranking as Elon was rated as high as #22 in the nation this season.
