Elon Men Travel to Wofford Saturday Night

ELon enters tonight's contest with an overall record of 5-15 and a 3-7 mark in Southern Conference play after falling to Davidson 88-58 on Tuesday evening.

Senior guard LeVonn Jordan led the Phoenix in the loss with 24 points while also grabbing six rebounds. Sophomore Ola Atoyebi pulled in a career-high 10 boards. Elon shot 36.5 percent from the field and 21.7 percent from three-point range while only connecting on half its shot from the free throw line.

Jordan is pacing Elon this season with 16.6 points and 6.9 rebounds a game while shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from behind the arc. Sophomore Brett James is Elon's other double-digit scorer with 11.2 points a game.

Wofford comes into tonight's game with a 6-15 overall ledger and a 1-9 record in the SoCon. The Terriers are coming off a 77-74 overtime loss to Western Carolina on Monday night. Wofford is playing without senior guard Eric Marshall who suffered a career-ending knee injury on Jan. 22 against College of Charleston. Marshall was averaging 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds an outing.

Shane Nichols led the Terriers against the Catamounts with 23 points, eclipsing the 1,000-career points plateau. Junior Salters added 18 points while Drew Gibson had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Wofford is led by Nichols' 15.8 points a game while Gibson adds 14.1 points and 4.3 assists an outing.
