Dalodom Dubbed Verizon Wireless Performer of the Month

ELON, N.C. – For the past three years, Elon University Athletics and Verizon Wireless have teamed up to name a Verizon Wireless “Performer of the Month” each month. The recipient of this honor for April 2007 is junior men's tennis player Anuwat Dalodom (Bangkok, Thailand/Sripatum University).

For April, Dalodom amassed a perfect 8-0 record – all at No. 2 singles – en route to earning Southern Conference Championship MVP honors. That ledger includes a 3-0 mark versus SoCon foes during the regular season and a 3-0 slate against opponents during the league tournament.

Dalodom notched SoCon Player of the Week accolades once during the month. He helped the Phoenix to an 8-0 record – with six shutouts – for April, including victories over Atlantic Coast Conference member Boston College and nationally-ranked College of Charleston. No. 44 Elon (23-2) captured both the Southern Conference regular season and tournament titles this month.

Verizon Wireless is the nation's leading provider of wireless communications. The company has the largest nationwide wireless voice and data network and 54.8 million customers. Visit Verizon Wireless online at www.verizonwireless.com.
