ELON, N.C. – Following the Phoenix Hoops Preview this Sunday afternoon, Elon Athletics will host the Alumni Gym Seat Selection Event on Thursday, October 28 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Fans should purchase men’s and women’s basketball season tickets by the conclusion of the Phoenix Hoops Preview to have the opportunity to choose where they will sit in the newly renovated Alumni Gym for the 2010-11 season.

Alumni Gym received a facelift this summer with a new seating arrangement, LED video boards and tables and upgraded lighting, as well as the reopening of the original south entrance. The court has shifted and been named Robertson Court in honor of the generous gift from Elon trustee Jeanne Robertson and her husband Jerry.

Seat selection for season-ticket holders in the new Alumni Gym will occur on Thursday evening and will be based upon membership rank as determined by the Phoenix Club Priority Point System. Season-ticket holders who are unable to attend this event must inform the Elon Athletics Ticket Office of their seating preferences prior to the event.

Phoenix fans can purchase a combo package with tickets to all home men’s and women’s games for a price of $170 ($85 for Elon faculty and staff). Men’s season tickets are available for $140 ($70 Elon faculty and staff) while women’s season tickets cost $40 ($20 faculty and staff). Both the combo pack and the men’s ticket package include admission to Elon’s two men’s games at the Greensboro Coliseum (normally a $25 ticket) for contests against ACC foes Wake Forest and NC State. The Phoenix men are scheduled to host 17 contests this year while the women will play host to 16 games in the upcoming campaign.
