ELON, N.C. – The Elon men’s basketball team will look to take its winning ways on the road as visits the Pete Hanna Center and the Samford Bulldogs on Thursday, January 27. The Phoenix will be looking for the season sweep as it earned a 67-54 victory over the Bulldogs at Alumni Gym earlier this month. Tip is set for 8 p.m. (EST).

LAST TIME OUT
• Elon moved to 4-5 in league action with a dominating 84-62 victory over the visiting Georgia Southern Eagles.

ELON VS. SAMFORD
• Elon got is first-ever victory over Samford on Jan. 8, scoring 67 points. In the previous four contests against the Bulldogs, Elon had averaged only 44.5 ppg. Samford was allowing only 62.7 ppg heading into the game.
• The Phoenix scored 38 first-half points while limiting the Bulldogs to 20 points.
• Elon limited Samford to 35.4% shooting — the Bulldogs were shooting 44.0% on the season.
• The loss at Elon started a stretch of five straight losses for the Bulldogs.
