ELON, N.C. -- The recent Dancing with the Little Pink Stars benefit in which Elon baseball coach Mike Kennedy participated has raised nearly $19,700 for Little Pink Houses of Hope with donations still coming in.

Kennedy and dance partner Meagan Chieppor, an Elon student, performed a cha-cha.  The duo made sure to incorporate baseball into their performance.  In pre-event donations, the pair raised $1,500 for the organization.

The event was held at The Diamond Room in Gibsonville, N.C. and featured seven dance pairs.

Little Pink Houses of Hope is an organization that provides week-long beach retreats in the Carolinas for breast cancer patients and their families.  Each week allows the families to spend quality time together and every morning family programs are planned.  Every beach retreat is designed to help families live stronger, laugh harder and love deeper.
