Final Results
CAMDEN, S.C. – A final round 297 helped the Elon men's golf team to a three-round score of 895 (303-295-297) as the Phoenix finished 13th in its final fall tournament, the Camden Collegiate Invitational.
Leading the way among Elon's countable players was
Jeff Krieger. Krieger finished the tournament with his best round of the weekend, a one-over 71, as he tied for 32nd with a 222 (73-78-71).
Jake Leavitt followed with a 223 (75-71-77) to tie for 39th out of the 81 players in the field. He was just one stroke ahead of
Will DiIanni who carded a 224 (78-71-75) to tie for 47th.
With a 228 (79-75-74),
Troy Beaver tied for 62nd. Finally,
Jonathan DiIanni's 240 (77-80-83) tie for 77th.
Charlie May competed as an individual and shot a 220 over his three rounds to tie for 26th. May posted rounds of 70 and 77 on Saturday before wrapping up the event with a 73.
Medalist honors went to Wofford's Brannan Hudson who finished with a nine-under par 201 (67-63-71).
Host South Carolina rallied to claim the team title with a mark of 847 (288-284-275), holding off Wofford by one stroke.
