ELON – The Elon men's golf team will round out the regular season this weekend at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, hosted by North Carolina at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill. The 54-hole tournament starts with rounds 1-2 on Saturday, followed by the third round Sunday.

TEE SHOTS
- Elon checks in at No. 71 in the latest Scoreboard/Clippd rankings with a 91-20-3 overall record through eight events in 2025-26 season.
- Elon won a share of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate title on March 29 in its most recent action, tying with CAA rival Campbell atop the leaderboard at 9-under 855. Freshman William Carr was the individual medalist, shooting a 7-under 65 in the final round to climb seven spots for his first collegiate victory. The Phoenix has finished fourth or better, including two victories, in six consecutive tournaments dating back to the start of last October.
- The Phoenix and then-sophomore Jack Wieler placed runner-up on the team and individual leaderboards, respectively, at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate last season. Elon recorded the field's lowest score on the final day with an 8-under par 272 to finish one shot behind tournament host and champion North Carolina. Wieler shot 3-under 207 (70-71-66) to take second place individually.
- Elon Director of Golf Don Hill is a North Carolina alumnus, graduating in 1999 following a standout career for the Tar Heels in which he was a two-time All-ACC performer and two-time All-America honorable mention.
