DURHAM, N.C. – The Elon University men's golf team participated in the one-day Blue Devil Spring Shootout on Sunday, March 22. Elon finished fourth out of 15 teams in the event with a 299 (+10).

Charlie May finished the shootout tied for second out of 80 players after shooting a one-under par 71. He finished with four birdies on the day. Teammates Jonathan DiIanni and Jake Leavitt finished the day tied at 14th individually with a stroke count of 75, which was three over par. Leavitt knocked in one eagle on the day, with Dilanni hitting 12 pars on the course.

Troy Beaver was tied for 38th after carding a six-over 78. Beaver sank three birdies on the day. Will DiIanni finished off the day tied for 48th, shooting nine-over par with a score of 81. He tallied 11 pars on the day for the Phoenix.

Duke took the team title with a final score of 285 (-3). Coastal Carolina followed with a 295.

Motin Yeung for the Blue Devils topped the individual leaderboard with a score of 68.

Elon's next competition is the Seahawk Intercollegiate, in Wilmington, N.C. The tournament starts Sunday, March 29.
