HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The 72nd-ranked Elon University women's tennis team extended its winning streak to seven matches following a pair of wins over Savannah State and Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Tuesday, March 24, at its spring break tournament in Hilton Head. Elon (12-5) registered a 6-1 win over Savannah State in its morning match and followed it up with a 7-0 sweep versus Wisconsin-Eau Claire later in the day.

Rookie
Erica Braschi won two matches on the day, extending her team-best singles winning streak to nine matches. Braschi played both matches at No. 2 singles, defeating Savannah State's Sandy Lochu, 6-0, 6-2, before earning a 6-2, 6-1, decision against UWEC's Colleen McCullough later in the day.

Kamilla Beisenova came away victorious in both of her singles matches as well. The rookie defeated Savannah State's Tiffany Williams in dominating fashion, 6-0, 6-0, in the early match before a 6-2, 6-0, result against Wisconsin Eau-Claire's Paige Kuepers.

Bridget Liddell went 2-0 on the day in singles play as well. Liddell defeated Savannah State's Bria Burrows in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, and followed it up with a 6-1, 6-1, decision against UWEC's Olivia Gallagher.

Maria Camara Ruiz earned a 6-1, 6-0, win over Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Madison Rossebo in singles action, while
Taylor Casey picked up a 6-2, 6-1, result versus Sarah Henderson.

Elon was dominant in doubles play throughout the day as well, going a combined 6-0 across the board. The tandem of Braschi/Casey improved to 9-1 on the year following an 8-0 trouncing of Savannah State's Jennyfer Vivas and Bria Burrows in the early match.
