The MatchupÂ
- Saturday will be Elon's first match this season against either Drexel or UNCW.
- Elon is 4-1 all-time against Drexel, with the lone loss coming in the most recent meeting between the teams in the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAA Tournament. The Dragons upended Elon 4-1 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
- One of Elon's four victories over Drexel came at the CAA Tournament, as the Phoenix defeated the Dragons 4-1 in 2021 in Williamsburg.

- The Phoenix is the No. 1 seed in this year's CAA Tournament.
- Simone Bergeron is back for her junior season after a breakout campaign last spring that saw her take home CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Year. Bergeron has 22 wins across doubles and singles this spring after earning All-CAA First Team recognition in both last season.Â
- Bergeron's primary doubles partner this season has been Mariana Reding, who also earned First Team All-CAA honors in doubles a season ago. Reding, also a junior, is tied for first on the Phoenix with 24 combined wins this spring. Â
- After a strong freshman campaign that saw her secure All-CAA Second Team recognition, Lisa Kranec has been one of Elon's top contributors this spring, with 12 doubles victories and eight singles wins.Â
- Also back for the Phoenix is senior Madison Cordisco, who finished second on the team last season with 17 singles triumphs. She went 14-4 at the No. 5 position.  Â
- Senior Helen Sarikulaya also received All-CAA recognition in both singles (Third Team) and doubles (Second Team) last spring. Â
- Elon welcomes three newcomers this season – Cornelia Kack, Alexis Nyborg and Nathalie Marinovitch.  Â
- Kack joined the Phoenix after earning All-CAA Third Team honors in doubles last season as a freshman at Delaware and co-leads the Phoenix with 24 total wins this spring. Nyborg came to Elon following two successful seasons at UNC Asheville, where she earned All-Big South First Team honors in singles in 2025. The junior is tied for third on the Phoenix with 11 singles wins this spring.Â
- Marinovitch, a native of Cochabamba, Bolivia, is Elon's lone freshman.  Â
- Elon won its first ever CAA championship last spring, winning the CAA Tournament at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center with a victory over three-time defending champion William & Mary in the final. Â
- The Phoenix earned the CAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and faced No. 10 Tennessee in the opening round. Elon finished the season with a 19-6 overall record, which included a 15-2 mark at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. Â
- Elon is led by reigning CAA Coach of the Year Elizabeth Anderson, who is in her 22nd season leading the Phoenix. She is joined by first-year assistant coach Allie Gretkowski, who played college tennis at South Carolina and Louisville.  Â

- Elon closed out its regular season in dominant fashion April 11, sweeping Coastal Carolina on Senior Day at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center, 4-0.
- Elon grabbed early control of the match by winning on the top two doubles courts to take a 1-0 lead.
- Bergeron and Reding set the tone on Court 1, defeating Aida Mitrache and Brooke Rogers 6-1 for their 11th win as a duo this season and third straight victory together.
- At No. 2 doubles, Cordisco and Nyborg clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Brunelle Kouam and Francisca Laundes, their fifth win together this spring. The pairing has clinched back-to-back doubles points for the Phoenix.Â
- Bergeron extended Elon's lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win on Court 2 over Kouam. The victory marked her 11th singles win of the season and her third in a row, improving her to 6-1 at the No. 2 position.Â
- Kranec followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win on Court 5 against Rogers to push the lead to 3-0. It was her eighth singles victory of the spring and her 20th dual-match win of the regular season.
- Nyborg sealed the match for the Phoenix with a 6-4, 6-1 victory on Court 4 over Laundes, marking her 11th singles win of the spring. The junior has now won six of her last seven completed matches and is tied with Bergeron for the third most wins on the Phoenix.Â
- The sweep was Elon's eighth of the season in 14 wins and marked the program's first-ever victory over Coastal Carolina, improving to 1-2 all-time against the Chanticleers and avenging last season's road loss.
- The Phoenix finished the regular season 10-1 at home, marking its first season with just one home loss since 2022.Â

Win In WilliamsburgÂ
- Elon picked up its first ever road victory against William & Mary on April 3, defeating the Tribe 4-3 at the Mackesy Tennis Center.Â
- The Phoenix won last year's CAA championship rematch for its first win against the Tribe in Williamsburg in its sixth try.Â
- Nyborg delivered the deciding point at No. 4 singles, defeating Mira Kernagis in a third-set tiebreak to put Elon ahead 4-2.Â
- Kack and Reding also picked up singles points for the singles after Elon took the doubles point.Â

- The win cemented a 3-0 record for Elon against CAA opponents this season with wins over North Carolina A&T, College of Charleston and William & Mary. The Charleston and William & Mary victories both came on the road.Â

- Elon was ranked three straight weeks in the ITA team poll earlier this season.
- The Phoenix entered the rankings on March 3 at No. 58, the highest ranking in Elon's Division I history, beating the previous best mark of No. 59 from the poll on March 5, 2013. Elon was then ranked in the March 10, March 17 and March 24 editions of the rankings.Â
- Elon's ranking on March 3 was its first since Jan. 6, 2015, when the Phoenix held the 75th and final spot in the standings.Â
- Elon is the only CAA team to be ranked this season. All three of Elon's losses this season have come against teams that have been ranked in the top 60 at some point this season.Â

- Reding is tied with Kack on the Phoenix with 24 victories across singles and doubles this spring.Â
- The junior is on a 10-match singles winning streak, with nine of the 10 victories coming in straight sets.Â
- Reding's last completed match was a 6-1, 6-3 victory over William & Mary's Tilda Larsson on April 3. The junior is 3-0 this season against CAA opponents.Â
- Reding has won a 6-1 singles set in each of her last seven victories. The last time she did not win a set 6-1 in a finished match was March 1 against Davidson.Â
- Reding's 13 singles victories are the most on the Phoenix, with all the wins coming at the No. 3 spot. Â
- Reding has won 13 of her last 14 completed singles matches and 26 of her last 29 sets in finished matches. Her only loss in that stretch came against No. 3 North Carolina.Â
- Reding's lone two singles losses this season are to ranked opponents (Charlotte and North Carolina).Â
- In doubles, Reding is 11-5 at the No. 1 spot alongside Bergeron. Their win against UNCG on April 8 secured Reding's third straight season with double-digit wins in doubles. Â
- Reding and Bergeron took home CAA Doubles Team of the Week on Tuesday, the second time the pairing has earned the honor after winning it once last spring.

- Kack's Elon career is off to a prolific start, as the sophomore is tied with Reding for the team lead in total victories (24). Â
- Kack made her No. 1 singles debut for Elon against Furman on March 14, winning in three sets to clinch the victory for the Phoenix. The sophomore has since clinched Elon's wins against UConn and College of Charleston with victories at the No. 1 position. Â
- Kack has won nine of her last 10 completed singles matches. Her only loss in that span came against No. 63 Old Dominion. Â
- The sophomore has been ruthless in singles, winning eight sets by either a 6-1 or 6-0 scoreline.Â
- Like Reding, Kack's only singles losses this season have come against Charlotte, North Carolina, and Old Dominion, all ranked opponents.Â
- Prior to the Furman match, Kack played the No. 2 spot, winning seven times.Â
- Kack has also formed one of Elon's most reliable doubles pairings alongside Kranec, with the duo leading the Phoenix in doubles wins this spring (12).Â

- Last season, Bergeron became the first Elon player to win both CAA Player of the Year and CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player.Â
- She picked up 20 doubles victories in her sophomore campaign, tied for the third most in a season by an Elon player.Â
- All 12 of Bergeron's singles victories last spring came at the No. 1 position, which included the CAA title clinching win against William & Mary.Â
- Bergeron has compiled 76 dual wins across singles and doubles in her first three campaigns with the Phoenix. She won at least 12 matches in both singles and doubles in each of her first two seasons and is one away from reaching the feat for a third straight year in both.
- This fall, Bergeron was selected as the CAA's singles representative at ITA Conference Masters. She was the first Elon player to compete at the event.Â
- Bergeron has 22 victories this spring, with 11 coming at No. 1 doubles alongside Reding. Their victory against UNCG on April 8 secured Bergeron's third straight season with 10-plus dual doubles wins. Â
- The duo took home CAA Doubles Team of the Week honors on Tuesday, their second time earning the honor after winning it once last spring.
- Bergeron has also won six of her last seven completed singles matches, with all six of the wins coming in straight sets. After playing the No. 1 spot to start the season, Bergeron recently moved to No. 2 singles and is 6-1 playing that court.Â
- The junior picked up a ranked singles win on April 4 with a 7-6 (5), 3-0 victory over Old Dominion's Victoria Matasova, the No. 117 player in the ITA singles rankings.Â
- Against Queens on March 21, Bergeron pitched a perfect day across doubles and singles, going 18-0 in total games. After sweeping her doubles match with Reding, she won her singles match 6-0, 6-0, her first time blanking an opponent in singles since the 2024 CAA Tournament against Monmouth.Â

- In her debut campaign with the Phoenix, Nyborg has become a reliable contributor in both doubles and singles.Â
- Nyborg is tied for third on the Phoenix with 11 singles wins this spring and has won six of her last seven completed matches.Â
- On April 7, Nyborg was tabbed as the CAA Player of the Week following her match-clinching three-set win against William & Mary on April 3. Â
- The junior has played the Nos. 4 and 5 singles spots, with each of her last seven appearances coming at the No. 4 position.Â
- Nine of her 11 singles victories have come in straight sets and two of her three defeats this season have come against teams that have been ranked this season. Â
- Nyborg joined Elon's doubles lineup against North Carolina A&T on Feb. 25 and has appeared at the No. 2 spot in every match since, picking up six wins with Cordisco and Marinovitch.Â
- The Nyborg and Cordisco duo is 5-3 this season, with wins against the Aggies, South Carolina State, Queens, UNCG, and Coastal Carolina. Â
- Nyborg also clinched the doubles point for the Phoenix against Furman alongside Marinovitch, as the tandem of Elon newcomers rallied from a break down to win 7-5 at the No. 2 spot on March 14.Â

- Kranec has formed half of Elon's winningest doubles pairing this spring alongside Kack.Â
- The duo leads the Phoenix with 12 victories, all coming at the No. 3 spot. The tandem clinched the doubles point in Elon's 4-3 win against William & Mary on April 3. Â
- Kranec has added eight singles victories this spring, including a three-set win against CAA foe College of Charleston on March 24.Â
- The victory against the Cougars was Kranec's first this season to come in a deciding set.Â
- Kranec pushed Thea Rabman of North Carolina to a third set on Feb. 17 after winning the first set off her ranked Tar Heel opponent in a tiebreak.Â
- Cordisco has been a key piece of Elon's doubles lineup this season, winning seven matches. Â
- Cordisco has won in doubles with both Nyborg and Sarikulaya this season. The senior is 5-3 playing the No. 2 spot alongside Nyborg.Â
- Cordisco also has five singles victories this season, including a crucial victory at the No. 6 spot that helped the Phoenix win at Charleston. She won her third set 6-1 against Riley Trinkle to move Elon ahead 3-2 in the match.Â

- Marinovitch made her dual debut for the Phoenix on Feb. 25 against North Carolina A&T, playing the No. 6 singles spot.Â
- The freshman came through a tight match against the Aggies, defeating Flavia Villegas for her first career dual victory.Â
- Marinovitch was back in the lineup on Feb. 28 against Wofford, again at the No. 6 position. She clinched the match for the Phoenix with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Marie Henriksen.Â
- Marinovitch has partnered with Nyborg in three doubles matches this season. The duo picked up their first win together on March 14 at Furman, clinching the doubles point for the Phoenix with a 7-5 win at the No. 2 spot.Â
- Marinovitch has played either singles or doubles in eight of the last 13 matches, including April 4 at No. 63 Old Dominion. The freshman played the No. 6 singles spot against the Monarchs.Â

Doubles SuccessÂ
- Elon has won the doubles point in 10 of the last 13 matches and in 12 of its 14 victories this season.Â
- On March 21, Elon had a perfect doubles point against Queens, as the Phoenix won all three matches 6-0 for the first time since 2019.Â
- Kack and Kranec lead the Phoenix with 12 wins at the No. 3 spot, including the win that clinched the doubles point for Elon against William & Mary on April 3. Â
- Bergeron and Reding have won four of their last five completed matches together and are second on the team with 11 victories this spring at the No. 1 spot. They also helped Elon secure the doubles point against the Tribe with a victory at the top position.Â
- Of the six Elon doubles pairs to complete a match this spring, five have delivered victories.Â

- Several Phoenix are moving up Elon's all-time ranks in career doubles wins.Â
- With her 11 doubles victories this spring, Bergeron is up to 44 career wins. The junior became the 14th Phoenix to reach 40 career dual doubles victories earlier this season and is tied with Suzanne Zenoni for the 13th most in program history.
- Reding is not far behind her doubles partner, as she recently cracked the top 15 in career doubles wins with the Phoenix, reaching 43 with her win over Coastal Carolina.Â
- Cordisco is also making a move up the doubles rankings, as the senior is up to 37 career victories. Â
- With her 13 singles wins this season, Reding also has 41 career wins in singles. She is just two victories away from entering the top 15 in Elon's program history.Â

The Anderson EraÂ
- Head coach Elizabeth Anderson is in her 22nd season leading the maroon and gold.Â
- Anderson has turned Elon into a consistent winner. Under her guidance, the Phoenix has posted 19 consecutive winning seasons, all of which have included double-digit victories.Â
- Since joining the CAA in the 2014-15 season, Elon has won at least one match in all 10 of its CAA Tournament appearances. Anderson led the program to the CAA championship match for the first time in 2022 and its first CAA title in 2025 to earn an NCAA Tournament bid.Â
- In Elon's final season in the Southern Conference, Anderson led the maroon and gold to the program's first NCAA Tournament berth in 2013. The Phoenix won its first Southern Conference championship that season to qualify.Â
- Since taking over as head coach in 2005, Anderson has tallied 322 victories at Elon. Her winning percentage is 63% in 513 career matches.Â
- Anderson was named CAA Coach of the Year in 2025, the second time in her career she earned the honor.Â
- Elon has also been a strong performer in the classroom during Anderson's tenure. The program has earned All-ITA Academic Team honors in 20 consecutive seasons.Â

Scouting No. 4 UNCWÂ
- The No. 4 seeded Seahawks are 10-5 entering their Friday quarterfinal against Drexel.
- UNCW went 5-2 against CAA opponents this season with the losses coming to William & Mary and College of Charleston, the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds in the conference tournament, respectively.
- UNCW defeated Drexel 5-2 in the regular season on March 27. The match was played in Wilmington, with the Seahawks taking the doubles point and four of six singles contests.
- UNCW's other conference wins came over Stony Brook (4-3), Hofstra (7-0), Towson (5-2) and Campbell (4-3).
- Elif Albayrak leads the Seahawks with 12 singles victories this season, all coming at the No. 2 spot. Eda Arli also has double-digit wins with a 10-5 record playing the top court.
- Alex Borcich (9-5) and Simay Keles (7-3) also have winning singles records. Both have primarily played in the bottom half of UNCW's singles lineup this season.
- Albayrak and Arli form UNCW's top doubles duo, as the pairing has accrued a 13-2 record at the No. 1 spot. Sophia Catino and Alicia Eberwain have eight wins playing the No. 3 spot, with Keles and Lucia Gomez winning six appearances at the No. 2 position.
- The Seahawks have dropped the doubles point in each of their last two CAA matches.
- UNCW is led by interim head coach John Ware. It is Ware's 26th season with the program after stepping in as the interim head coach in January.

Scouting No. 5 Drexel
- Drexel enters the CAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed following a 9-9 regular season.
- The Dragons went 4-3 in CAA matches this season with wins over Hofstra (6-1), Monmouth (4-3), Towson (5-1) and Stony Brook (4-3). All three of their conference losses came against teams seeded higher than them in the tournament.
- Drexel fell 5-2 to UNCW in the regular season. The match was played in Wilmington, with the Seahawks taking the doubles point and four of six singles matches.
- Lorie Lemongo is Drexel's top singles player, with 11 victories at the No. 1 spot this spring.
- Anastasia Kavounov added nine victories at the No. 2 position, with Sofiya Snitko, Adva Dabah and Christine Fourie all tallying eight victories of their own.
- Dabah and Lemongo compiled nine regular-season victories together in doubles, eight of which came at the No. 1 position. Kavounov and Rebecca Fielder have won eight matches while primarily playing the No. 2 spot.
- Drexel lost four of its seven doubles points against CAA opponents this season.
- Eric Biscoveanu is in his fourth season as Drexel's head coach.
