ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's basketball will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 20, for a road matchup with CAA rival JMU.

Hunter McIntosh was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday, Feb 17.
- Sheffield was named the CAA Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 10, after leading Elon in scoring (24.5 ppg) and rebounding (10 rpg) during a 2-0 week. Sheffield dropped a season-high 31 points and 12 rebounds against Charleston, while posting 18 points and eight rebounds against UNCW.

Hunter McIntosh was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a career-high 24 points on 8-of-9 shooting in Elon's 74-60 win over Northeastern.
- Freshman forwardÂ
Zac Ervin earned the CAA Rookie of the Week award after leading the team in scoring (18 ppg) during a 1-1 week for Elon. Ervin scored a career-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including a career-best 7-of-12 from beyond the arc in the Phoenix's 80-63 win over UNCW.

Hunter McIntosh garnered CAA Rookie of the Week honors, the league announced on Dec. 16. McIntosh was selected by the conference after scoring a team-high 15 points, while adding three assists, two rebounds and two steals in Elon's dominant 91-60 win over North Carolina Wesleyan.
- Freshman forwardÂ
Hunter Woods was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Dec. 9. Woods earned the honor after averaging 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in games against Kennesaw State and High Point.
- This marks the first time that the CAA has had three different freshmen from the same team each win a Rookie of the Week Award in the same season since Charleston in 2015-16, and seventh overall since the conference began announcing the award in 2002-03.
- Woods and McIntosh became the first pair of Elon freshman to win the conference Rookie of the Week award in back-to-back weeks.
- Sheffield's 24 point performance on Saturday marked the 17
th consecutive double-digit scoring effort for the senior, and his 25
th overall this season
- McIntosh's 18 points on vs Drexel secured his second straight game scoring double-figures, and his 15
th overall this season
- Woods logged his 14
th double-digit scoring outing this season after scoring 14 points in the win over Drexel

SCOUTING JMU
- The Dukes are off to a 9-16 start this season, after falling to Towson, 63-48, in their most recent outing
- JMU is in its fourth season under head coach Louis Rowe, who served as and assistant at Bowling Green prior to joining the Dukes' program
- The Dukes are led by Matt Lewis, who leads the team in scoring at 18.9 points per game
- Drexel currently sits in the tenth spot in the CAA standings, posting a 2-12 record in 14 conference games so far this season
