ELON, N.C. – Elon University women's tennis returns to action this week when it travels to Winston-Salem, N.C. for ITA Carolina Regionals. The tournament is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, and conclude on Monday, Oct. 25.

- Elon continued its fall season on Oct. 9-10, when it hosted the Jimmy Powell Invitational.

Sibel Tanik picked up two singles victories over the weekend, beating Richmond's Dunbar (6-2, 6-1) and Coastal Carolina's Samucrwicz (7-6, 6-2) respectively. Tanik also combined withÂ
Lizette Reding to win all of their doubles matches, including two wins over Richmond, two wins over Coastal Carolina and one win over UNCG.

Alison O'Dea went undefeated in singles play, outlasting both UNCG's Perry (6-1, 6-1) and Coastal Carolina's Urelli (6-2, 6-7, 10-4).

- Elon will feature two newcomers this season in first-yearÂ
Sarah Allen and Tennessee transferÂ
Julie Ball.
- Allen joins the Phoenix from Christ Church Episcopal School, where she was a five-time team State Champion from 2016-2020Â and earned four top-5 finishes at the All-State Singles Championships in 2017 (5th), 2018 (4th), 2019 (4th) and 2020 (2nd).
- Ball comes to Elon from the University of Tennessee where she earned Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2020.

The Phoenix concludes its fall campaign when it hosts the Elon Invite at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center from Oct. 29-30.
