ELON, N.C. – Elon University men's soccer and head coach Marc Reeves have announced the canceling of the team's Feb. 21 matchup with Liberty and the scheduling of a new contest against Shaw University.
 
The Phoenix's match against Shaw, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23, will now serve as the programs 2020-21 season opener. That match will kick-off at 7 p.m. at Rudd Field on Elon's campus.
 
As a reminder, Elon will only be allowing a limited number of spectators into the facility for matches at Rudd Field this season due to Covid-19 protocols. Spectators can include player guests, Elon students and members of the Elon community.
 
Those interested in attending a match are expected to wear a mask and maintain social distancing when possible. Spectators are also reminded that they may be required to stand, as seating in the bleachers will be limited to player guests and Elon students only.
