ELON, N.C.— The Elon University women's soccer team will face Hofstra in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Soccer Championship Semifinals at Towson, Md. on Thursday, April 15 at 4 p.m. The Phoenix enters the match as the No. 2 seed in the South Division, while Hofstra comes in as the top seed in the North Division.

THE SERIES
-The Pride leads the overall series, 7-0.
-Hofstra won the last matchup 3-1, which took place on Nov. 3, 2019 in the CAA Championship Semifinals. 

ABOUT ELON
-Elon earned its third conference win of the season in its regular-season finale on April 10 as it registered a 2-0 win over William & Mary.
-Both goals came in the first half. The first came in the 13th minute when Sarah Bevington found the back of the net from 15 yards out. Approximately eight minutes later, Abby Fusca connected with Beky Myers, who scored the final goal of the day. Both of their goals were their first of the season.
-McKenna Dalfonso improved to 4-3 on the season, posting a season-high five saves on the afternoon.
-The shutout is Elon's fourth of the season.
-Elon is led by third-year head coach Neil Payne.
 
SCOUTING HOFSTRA
-Hofstra enters the match with a 7-0-1 (3-0-1 CAA) record on the season, ranking 23rd in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.  
-The Pride posted a 7-2 win against Towson in its regular-season finale. Lucy Porter paced the Pride with her third-career hat trick on three goals. Jordan Littleboy also tallied a career-high five points on one goal and three assists.
-The head coach of Hofstra is Simon Riddiough.
 
UP NEXT
With a win against Hofstra, Elon will advance to the CAA Championship Finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 17 at 3 p.m, facing the winner of the UNCW/Northeastern matchup.
