ELON, N.C.— Elon University women's soccer will be back on the road for a pair of matches at UNC Asheville on Thursday, Sept. 2 and NC State on Sunday, Sept. 5. Kickoff for each contest is scheduled for 6 and 7 p.m.
 
COVERAGE
Live stats and video will be provided for both matches. The match at UNC Asheville will be streamed on ESPN+, while the game against the Wolfpack will be broadcasted on ACCNX (via ESPN+).
 
THE SERIES
-The Phoenix leads the overall series against the Bulldogs, 12-3-0.
-NC State holds a 13-0 all-time record against the maroon and gold.
 
ABOUT ELON
-The Phoenix enters the match with a 1-2 record.
-Elon fell to Virginia Tech in its first road match of the season on Aug. 26. Sarah Bevington scored her first goal of the season to get the maroon and gold on the board.  
-The Phoenix was selected second in the 2021 CAA preseason poll with 64 points and one first-place vote. Katie Lowe was named to the Preseason All-CAA Team, while Carson Jones earned honorable mention.
-The maroon and gold is led by fourth-year head coach Neil Payne.
 
SCOUTING UNC ASHEVILLE
-The Bulldogs currently hold an 0-4 record on the season, posting losses against Appalachian State, Western Carolina, Furman and East Tennessee State.
-Asheville was picked to finish 10^th in the Big South preseason poll after recording a 2-7 record in the spring.  
-The head coach of UNC Asheville is Andy McNab.
 
SCOUTING NC STATE
-The Wolfpack comes into the match with a 1-1-2 record, with its lone win coming against Old Dominion on Aug. 22 (2-1).  
-NC State was predicted to finish 10^th in the Atlantic Coast Conference preseason poll.
-The Wolfpack will face UNCG prior to the matchup against the Phoenix on Thursday, Sept. 2.  
-NC State is led by Tim Santoro.
