• The Phoenix has won three straight over the Cougars including a 1-0 decision at home this past spring.

Last Time Out
• Elon started its three-match road swing with a trip to Triad rival High Point on Wednesday, Sept. 15. Despite playing with just 10 men for the majority of the match and being down 2-0 late in the second half, the Phoenix rallied to tie the contest to send it into extras before eventually falling 3-2 to the Panthers.
• The Phoenix had to play the match with a man down after a red card was given on a handball in the box in the 30th minute.
• Elon rallied to score a pair of goals with less than 10 minutes in the match. Jack Dolk scored his first career goal for the Phoenix after beating the keeper on a shot on the back post in the 82nd minute to pull Elon within one.
• Nearly two minutes later, the Phoenix leveled the match at two-all. Elon was rewarded a free kick which Dolk sent into the box. In the ensuing scrum off the set piece, Victor Stromsten was able to push the ball past the goal line to tie the game.
