Joe Savino have been selected team captains for the 2022 season, as voted on by their teammates.

A redshirt sophomore catcher from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Haskin made 25 starts in 33 games while hitting .241 (21-for-87) with a .345 slugging percentage and a .359 on-base percentage last season. He finished 2021 with two home runs, three doubles, 14 runs, nine RBIs and 13 walks while finishing third in the CAA in sacrifice bunts (6) and sacrifice bunts per game (0.18). He scored the tying run late in the game versus Western Carolina on April 28 to help the Phoenix to a 4-3 win over the Catamounts. His first career home run came on April 30 against the College of Charleston, a grand slam that highlighted a 14-5 series-opening win over the visiting Cougars.
A redshirt junior pitcher out of Georgetown, Mass., Greenler finished 2021 1-5 with two saves and a 4.17 ERA in 22 relief appearances for the maroon and gold. He allowed 23 runs (17 earned) on 32 hits and 11 walks while tallying 32 strikeouts through 36.2 innings pitched. The right-hander finished with a season-high five strikeouts at Wake Forest on May 8 as the Phoenix downed the Demon Deacons 5-2 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Greenler allowed two hits and one walk while tying his longest outing of the year with 3.1 innings thrown. On May 26 at the CAA Championship Tournament, he threw 2.0 shutout innings to help Elon to a 7-3 win over No. 6 seed William & Mary. He struck out two Tribe batters, didn't issue a walk and allowed just one hit.
A 2021 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American and CAA Co-Rookie of the Year, Iadisernia is a redshirt sophomore outfielder from Jackson, N.J. He added CAA First Team and All-Rookie honors after leading the Phoenix at the plate and finishing third in the conference with a .368 batting average. Additionally, he finished in the Top 10 in the league in home runs (10), runs scored (39), doubles (13), on-base percentage (.448) and slugging percentage (.626). Iadisernia broke the program's freshman home run record and was selected CAA Co-Player of the Week on April 13. He finished the 2021 campaign with 21 multi-hit games, eight multi-RBI games, had a 14-game hit streak and a 28-game reached base streak.
Savino is a redshirt sophomore pitcher hailing from Ronkonkoma, N.Y. Elon's leader in strikeouts last season with 70, he ranked first in the CAA and 15th nationally with a 7.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He was also first in the league and 26th in the country with 1.51 walks allowed per nine innings, finished fourth in the conference with a 1.09 WHIP and was fifth with 10.56 strikeouts per nine innings. The righty hurler made nine starts in 12 appearances and went 0-3 with a 3.02 ERA. He held a No.8-ranked East Carolina team scoreless through 5.2 innings of relief on March 26 and finished with a season-high 13 strikeouts in a 6.0-inning start at UNCW on April 2. Savino got the start versus UNCW on May 27 and went 7.1 innings while holding the tournament hosts to two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks while recording eight strikeouts.
Elon opens its 2022 season on Feb. 18-20 as the Phoenix welcomes Fairfield for a three-game series at Latham Park. The season will see the team hosting 37 games as well as the 2022 CAA Championship Tournament.
