RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University baseball's
Parker Haskin has been named the CAA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon, March 14. This marks his first career CAA weekly honor.
Haskin hit .556 (5-for-9) with a .667 slugging percentage and a .636 on-base percentage in Elon's three games this past week. He added one double, two runs scored, two walks and five RBIs to his totals and collected a hit in all three games. The Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. native went 1-for-1 with an RBI versus No. 3 Notre Dame last Tuesday before batting 1-for-3 with a run and a walk in Friday's 4-3 win over UNCG. On Sunday in Greensboro, he hit 3-for-5 against the Spartans as he doubled, scored a run, drove in four more and earned a base on balls. The effort helped the Phoenix (8-6) secure the series win, its third of the season.
Elon closes out its three-game series with UNCG this afternoon at Latham Park. First pitch for the series finale is scheduled for 4 p.m.
