EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. -- Sophomore Annie Wu finished in solo fifth place after firing a final round of 71 at the Edisto Island Invitational on Tuesday. As a team, the Elon women's golf team also finished fifth and shot a 9-over par 289 in the final round. College of Charleston is hosting the tournament at the par-70, 5,816-yard Plantation Course at Edisto in Edisto Island, S.C.

INDIVIDUAL STANDINGS 
 
The Phoenix posted a 54-hole total of 871 (+31). College of Charleston won the tournament shooting a 6-over par 846 and Georgia Southern finished second at 10-over par (850).
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• With a final round score of 71, Annie Wu was Elon's top finisher in solo fifth place with a 2-over par 212. The sophomore was named to the all-tournament team after tying for the lead in the field in birdies (12) and par-5 scoring average (4.56). This is her first top-five finish of the season and best finish of her career.
• Annabelle Ackroyd carded a 74 in the final round to finish tied for 12^th. She tied for a team-best in pars (36), par-4 scoring (4.10) and was second on the team in par-5 scoring (4.78).
• After shooting her lowest score of the week with an even-par 70 in the final round, Lotte Fox moved up 18 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 36^th place. She finished the tournament with a 12-over par 222. Fox was second on the team in par-3 scoring average.
• Ashley Lafontaine posted a 74 in the final round to finish tied for 45^th. She led the team in par-3 scoring (3.00) and tied for a team-best 36 pars.
• As individuals, Sakura Kawakami and Charlotte Scully finished tied for 62^nd finishing with a 21-over par 231.
• Andrea Asmundsdottir placed in a tie for 71st after a final round 78, posting a 54-hole total of 232 (+22). 
• As a team, Elon finished third in the field in birdies (38) and fourth in par-5 scoring (4.96).
