SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Elon University women's golf team won its first team competition of the fall season Tuesday at the Terrier Intercollegiate.

Ashley Lafontaine both finished in the top-10.

Chris Dockrill said, "The team played great today in tough conditions. It was a great way to finish the fall season."
HIGHLIGHTS
- Graduate student Annabelle Ackroyd led the Phoenix as she shot a 2-over par 73 in the final round to finish tied for fourth with a 54-hole total of 218 (+2). Ackroyd had a team-high pars (35) and par-3 average (2.83), which was second in the field. She had three top-5 finishes in the team's five tournaments this fall.
- Ashley Lafontaine fired her lowest score of the tournament in the final round with a 73, including four birdies and nine pars. She finished tied for eighth at 7-over par 223 and led the team in par-4 scoring (4.07). This is her third top-10 finish of the fall season.
- Annie Wu finished tied for 13th place in the individual standings, posting a 10-over par 226. She carded a team high 10 birdies and was second on the team in par-4 scoring (4.13).
- Apple Ngamwong posted a 78 in the final round to finish in solo 16th place. The senior led the Phoenix in par-5 scoring (4.75).
- Another round of 79 in the final round put Lotte Fox tied for 25th to finish the tournament. She carded a 54-hole total of 232) (+16) and was the only player in the field to make an eagle.
