RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University men's golfer Garrett Risner has been named the CAA Co-Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 1.    

Risner was Elon's top finisher at the Bryan National Collegiate, posting two rounds of 4-under par 68 to tie for fourth with a 54-hole total of 210 (-6). Risner birdied six holes with no bogeys on the back nine to post an opening round of 68. He then carded a 74 in the second round before posting a final round 68 to tie for fourth place, his third top-5 finish this season. The junior was 2-under par through his first nine holes in the final round before carding two more birdies and no bogeys on the back nine. He led Elon for the tournament in par-3 scoring average (2.92), birdies (16) and tied for a team-best in par-5 scoring (4.58). 

This is Risner's second golfer of the week honor this fall and the team's third runner-up finish in their five tournaments this fall.
