ELON, N.C. – The 2023 fall schedule for the Elon University men's and women's cross country programs has been released as announced by Phoenix head cross country and associate head track and field coach

"I am very excited to begin the 2023 cross country season," said Jermyn. "In particular, I am excited for the opportunity to race in national class competitions and preview the NCAA Championship cross country course during the regular season."
The Phoenix is slated to have five regular-season meets on the docket between both programs. The campaign kicks off with the Phoenix's season-opening and lone home meet, the fourth annual "Friday Night Lights" Elon Opener on Sept. 1.
After the Elon Opener, the Phoenix will compete at the adidas XC Challenge on Sept. 15 before heading to the Virginia Invitational on Sept. 23. The following week, the squad is scheduled to race at the Greensboro XC Invitational on Sept. 30. Elon closes out the regular-season portion of its schedule with the Phoenix making its second visit back to Virginia for the XC-23 NCAA Pre-Nationals on Oct. 14.
The 2023 CAA Cross Country Championships are set for Oct. 27 in Richmond, Va. Following that meet, the NCAA Southeast Regionals awaits the maroon and gold in Spartanburg, S.C., on Nov. 10. Teams and student-athletes that advance past the Southeast Regional will compete at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships held in Charlottesville, Va., on Nov. 18.
