CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team racked up four singles victories to kick off the Charlotte Invitational on Friday.
Veljko Krstic and
Juan Sengariz both picked up where they left off at last weekend's Elon Invitational, as they both won their singles contests in straight sets. Both Krstic and Sengariz are 4-0 this fall in completed singles matches.
Oskar Antinheimo also picked up a singles victory, his second of the fall.
Alonso Roca won his singles match when his opponent retired due to injury in the second set.
In doubles, Antinheimo and
Ben Zipay teamed up for a victory, as the duo won 6-3.
Play will continue tomorrow, with Elon's matches scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
