WEST PALM BEACH, FL. -- The Elon women's golf team carded a strong final round score of 302 to share the team title with Jacksonville State. The Phoenix shot a 54-hole total of 897 (+33).
Annie Wu was Elon's top finisher with a 54-hole total of 217 (+1) tying for second place in the field.
UNCG hosted the tournament at the Hammock Creek Golf Club in West Palm, Fla.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Annie Wu carded a 74 (+2) in the final round finishing in a tie for second place. Wu led the field in birdies with 10.
- Ashley Lafontaine also placed in the top-15 with a final round score of 76 (+4) to finish tied for 12th place. Lafontaine carded two birdies and eleven pars in the final round.
- Lotte Fox moved up three spots on the individual leaderboard, shooting her lowest round of the tournament with a three-over par 75 in the final round. Fox led the Phoenix in pars with 35 to tie for 15th place.
- Annabelle Ackroyd finished with a 54-hole total of 228 (+12) to tie for 18th place. Ackroyd carded two birdies and nine pars in her final round.
- As an individual, Phoebe Peng finished in a tie for 64th place after a final round score of 83 (+11).
- Andrea Asmundsdottir carded an 84 (+12) in the final round to finish in solo 71st place.
UP NEXT
- The maroon and golf travels to Charleston, S.C. to compete at the Rivertowne Invitational on Feb. 26-27.
