GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Elon University women's golf team shot a tournament low 293 (+5) in the final round to finish tied for fifth at the Ironwood Invitational. East Carolina hosted the event at the par-72, 6,371-yard Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, N.C.

The Phoenix finished with a 54-hole total of 910 (+46) to finish tied for fifth with Richmond. East Carolina won the tournament with an 885 (+21) while Delaware finished second with a 890 (+26).

HIGHLIGHTS

• Ashley Lafontaine posted a solid final round score of 70 (-2) after carding two birdies and no bogeys on the back nine. Lafontaine finished in ninth place while leading the team in pars with 37 and tied for the team-lead in par-3 scoring average (3.08).
• Annabelle Ackroyd shot her lowest round of the tournament with an even-par 72 in the final round. Ackroyd carded three birdies to offset three bogeys to move up a team-high 27 spots on the individual leaderboard and tie for 28^th place.
• Annie Wu moved up seven spots in the individual standings carding 13 straight pars to end her final round with a 3-over par 75. Wu tied for 35th place and led Elon in par-4 scoring average (4.13).
• Apple Ngamwong tied for 41st place after shooting a 6-over par 78 in her final round. She carded four birdies and seven pars while leading the team in birdies (7), par-5 scoring average (4.83) and tying for the team-lead in par-3 scoring average (3.08).
• Lotte Fox shot a tournament-low 76 in her final round to move up nine spots on the individual leaderboard and tie for 59th place. Fox carded four birdies in her final round including back-to-back birdies on holes four and five.
• As an individual, Charlotte Scully carded an 84 (+12) in her final round to finish in 90th place.
• As a team, Elon finished tied for fourth in the field in par-5 scoring (5.10).
