Elon, N.C.- Elon University women's soccer and head coach Neil Payne announced its 2024 fall schedule on Thursday, June 13.
The Phoenix is slated to play 18 games (two exhibitions, 16 regular season) this fall with eight regular season games taking place at Rudd Field including non-conference games with George Mason, Queens University and High Point.
Elon begins the fall schedule with two, home, exhibition matches, first against USC Upstate (Aug. 4) and then East Carolina (Aug. 10). For the first time since 2022, the Phoenix will begin their season at Rudd Field with a matchup with George Mason (Aug.15). The Phoenix and the Patriots will face off for the first time since 1987 when both open their seasons in mid-August.
Following their home opener against George Mason, Elon will continue their August slate with a home match against Queens University of Charlotte (Aug. 25). This game will end another drought between Elon and a 2024 opponent with Elon and Queens last facing off in 1997.
The Phoenix continues its non-conference portion of the schedule with three straight road games to begin the month of September. Elon travels to Wofford (Sept. 1), UNCG (Sept. 8), and Gardner-Webb (Sept. 12). The Phoenix welcomes triad rival High Point to Rudd Field on Sept. 15.
Elon opens the CAA portion of the schedule on the road at Northeastern (Sept. 22) followed by two straight home games against Stony Brook (Sept. 26) and Hampton (Sept. 29). The Phoenix opens the month of October with two straight road games for their only back-to-back road game trip against Towson (Oct. 3) and Drexel (Oct. 6).
The back half of the CAA schedule features three more home games starting with William & Mary (Oct. 10) and then back-to-back games at Rudd Field, Hofstra and Campbell, following a road contest at College of Charleston (Oct. 13). The Phoenix closes out its regular season with a matchup against UNCW on Oct. 27.
For the conference tournament, the top two seeds will host both the quarterfinal and semi-final matchups with the final being hosted by the top remaining seed on Nov. 9.
