Lynchburg, Va. – The Elon University indoor track & field team recorded 11 personal bests and etched four all-time top-10 performances on the final day of Liberty University's Brant Tolsma Invitational Saturday. The Phoenix added four top-three finishes on the last day of the three-day meet.
INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
- Sophomore pole vaulter Caden Cerminara cleared 12-2.5 (3.72m) for the first time in her career. That height ranks among the top six in the CAA this year and is No. 3 in program history.
- In the mile, Mikayla Jones ran a career-best time of 4:52.59 to place sixth in school history and among the top five in the CAA this year. She placed third overall at the Brant Tolsma Invitational.
- Also in the mile, Madison Synowiec's time of 4:54.02 was a career-best and No. 9 in school history. She is also eighth in the CAA this year.
- Sophomore Shayla Cann placed second in the 800 with a time of 2:13.66, a new personal best and seventh in program history. She ranks fourth in the CAA this year.
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
- Duna Vinals recorded a PR time of 57.33 seconds in the 400, which ranks No. 9 in the CAA this year.
- In the mile, Katie Blount posted a PR time of 4:54.88 and Sarah Petitjean did the same with a time of 4:56.44.
- Mia Stimpson jumped 36-5.25 (11.11m) in the triple jump for a new personal best.
- Meghan Wilcox ran the 60 in 7.72 seconds, a season-best time for her.
- Jenna Gilman and Tina Varis both set PRs in the 800. Gilman ran 2:14.97 and Varis ran 2:23.24.
- Winter Oaster had a PR time of 3:08.94 in the 1,000.
- In shot put, Allison Mateyak had a toss of 33-11 (10.34m) for a career-best performance.
- In the high jump, Hannah Schonhoff finished third overall, clearing 5-6.5 (1.69m).

- Elon is off until competing in the Camel City Invitational Feb. 7-8. That meet takes place at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem.
