RICHMOND, Va. – Elon redshirt freshman quarterback Landen Clark was selected as the CAA Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday morning by the conference office. Clark led the Phoenix with four total touchdowns in a come-from-behind 31-24 win over Campbell last Saturday.
Clark's day included his CAA-high of 228 passing yards and two passing scores. The Radford, Virginia, native was equally as effective on the ground, as he finished with two rushing touchdowns and 59 rushing yards.
Clark has seven games with at least one rushing score this season, as well as two games with multiple touchdowns on the ground. The quarterback also has five contests with two-plus passing touchdowns. His game-winning 96-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Fuhrmann in the fourth quarter tied the record for the longest offensive play in Elon history.
Clark lit up the scoreboard with four touchdowns against the Fighting Camels. His first rushing score gave him seven games this season with a rushing touchdown. His second rushing score gave him his second game with multiple rushing scores (Western Carolina). His two passing touchdowns gave Clark his fifth game with multiple passing touchdowns.
Clark and the Phoenix return to Rhodes Stadium this Saturday for the home finale against North Carolina A&T. Kickoff between Elon and the Aggies will be at 2 p.m. ET.
