ELON – Elon baseball head coach Mike Kennedy announced his program's 2026 schedule Wednesday, a 54-game slate that features three ACC opponents and 10 CAA weekend series.
The Phoenix will play 26 of those 54 regular-season games inside the friendly confines of Walter C. Latham Park, while the entire schedule, apart from a weekend series at Northeastern, will be played in the Carolinas.
"We are really excited about the 2026 schedule and the challenges that presents for our guys," Kennedy said. "Our conference schedule will be tougher than ever with the CAA South Division. Midweek contests with NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and ECU all present great opportunities for our program on the national level. We can't wait to get going come February."
Elon begins the 2026 campaign by welcoming former CAA foe Delaware back to Latham Park. The Phoenix and Blue Hens will play twice on opening weekend, Friday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 15, with Elon facing Saint Joseph's in a Valentine's Day doubleheader on Feb. 14.
The Phoenix will host Presbyterian in their first midweek clash on Feb. 17 before traveling to Charleston Southern in a weekend series rematch from 2025 on Feb. 20-22. This will be a return series for the Phoenix and graduate catcher Gavin Bogdanchik, who spent two seasons with the Buccaneers.
Elon will then play four straight at Latham Park, starting with a Feb. 24 matchup with Longwood, as well as a weekend series against Fairfield starting Feb. 27. Elon and the Stags will both be playing with a Nomura brother on the roster, as Elon's Sam Nomura will face off against his twin brother, Luke, a 2025 First Team All-MAAC infielder for Fairfield.
A midweek matchup with ACC power North Carolina on March 3 in Chapel Hill will be the final midweek game before Elon hits CAA play. The Phoenix welcomes North Carolina A&T for their first CAA weekend series on March 6-8.
Elon will face a gauntlet of opponents during a nine-game road swing following its opening CAA series. The stretch begins with a midweek contest at NC State on March 10. Elon beat the Wolfpack,14-6, the last time the two faced off in Raleigh in 2023. The Phoenix then travel to UNCW for their first CAA road series that weekend. A midweek game at East Carolina on March 17 will be followed by another CAA road series against reigning CAA Tournament champion Northeastern on March 20-22. Elon finishes its road swing in Winston-Salem as the Phoenix will take on Wake Forest the following Tuesday, March 24.
A home series with Monmouth (March 27-29) and a home midweek against Queens (March 31) follows the extended road trip. A second weekend series against the Aggies in Greensboro on April 3-5 follows suit with another midweek away contest at Gardner-Webb on April 7 to follow. Elon flips back to home to host William & Mary (April 10-12) as well as Winthrop (April 12) in the second week of the month.
Elon will travel to Campbell for the second straight season with a series starting on April 17 before the Phoenix plays Winthrop again – this time in Rock Hill, South Carolina – on Tuesday, April 21. The Phoenix will close April and open May with six consecutive CAA contests against UNCW at home (April 24-26) and at William & Mary (May 1-3).
The Phoenix will return to Fluor Field – the site of Elon's many Southern Conference Tournament wins – in Greenville, South Carolina, to play USC Upstate on May 5. The last time Elon played at the ballpark was May 26, 2013, when the Phoenix were crowned SoCon Tournament champions after a historic run that saw them win five games in four days.
Elon's final home series will be against the College of Charleston on May 8-10. The Phoenix will travel to Charlotte for their final midweek game against Queens on May 12 before ending the regular season with a nonconference doubleheader on May 14 against Northern Kentucky and USC Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The 2026 CAA Baseball Championship will be held May 20-23 at Brooks Field in Wilmington.
