Elizabeth Anderson Gets Win No. 300 In Victory Over Campbell

Box Score Buies Creek, N.C. - Elon University Women's Tennis Head Coach Elizabeth Anderson earned her 300th career victory as the Phoenix went on the road to defeat Campbell 7-0 Saturday. With the win, Elon improved to 11-4 on the season, while Campbell falls to 6-6 on the year. It is Elon's seventh 7-0 sweep of the spring.

THE ROAD TO 300
  • Elizabeth Anderson began her head coaching career when she was hired to lead Elon in 2005. Now in her 21st season, she has averaged just over 14 wins per season.
  • Elon went 9-12 and 8-13 in Anderson's first two seasons at the helm. Since that time, Anderson has racked up 18 consecutive winning seasons with the 2025 campaign closing in on a 19th straight winning record.
  • The 2013 team won a school record 21 matches with a final record of 21-4, advancing to the Southern Conference final.
  • Anderson's team made the NCAA Tournament for the first time one year later by winning the SoCon with a record of 15-9.
  • In 2015, Elon transitioned to the CAA but the wins kept coming. The program advanced to the CAA semifinals or further in every season from 2014-23.
  • Anderson was CAA Coach of the Year in 2016 and the program advanced to the CAA championship match for the first time in 2022.

DOUBLES RECAP

With their eyes set on a win, Elon had a strong start to doubles that carried through the three matches, clinching the doubles point for the Phoenix. The Phoenix's motivation, cohesion and teamwork were evident as all three pairs won 6-2.

  • At No. 1, Miray Konar and Helen Sarikulaya beat Deren Ozel and Sonia Pieczynska 6-2, the seventh doubles team victory for this duo.
  • At No. 2, Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding beat Ofer Kivity and Mollie Garcia 6-2, improving the duo to 10-3 on the year. They've now won four straight matches together.
  • At No. 3, Lisa Kranec and Heidi Bulger beat Jessica Maras and Veronika Prospalova 6-2. The two freshmen have now won four doubles matches as a pair, at 4-2 on the season.
